You need to pull the transmission, converter, and flexplate, then unbolt the rear cover and pull it of. Then pop the seal out of the cover and put the new seal in the cover.

Are you sure its the rear seal and not the backside of the valve cover gasket leaking since you just swapped the cam?

If its coming off the bellhousing like the top or side of the housing then its not coming from the rear seal. When the seal leaks the oil just drips down and out the bottom of the bellhousing

earlier when i looked at it it didnt look like it was leaking from the bottom it pretty much looked like it was leaking on the side. What else could it be if its not that and not the valve covers?

The oil pressure sending unit that sits behind the intake manifold.

I put my head at the back of the intake manifold and there wasnt any oil, and there wasnt any like blowed back up against the firewall. It seems like it only leaks while the car is running.

I dunno it could be anything back there. Id wait for it to get cold then start it and get your hand back there again and feel for the leak.

If it is on the outside of the belhousing I do not think it is the rear main seal.
