Default LQ4 vs. LQ9

I plan on putting a 6.0l LS motor for my Monte Carlo. (https://ls1tech.com/forums/showth...73#post8096373) We are shopping around now for a new motor. My question is, what should I be looking for? LQ4 or LQ9? Any years better than others? How can i easily identify one from the other, just to be sure what I am getting? To start, I plan on putting in a bigger cam, L92 heads, carburated intake, TH350 transmission, 9" Ford rear. Eventually, I would like to put a ProCharger on the motor, without having to radically rebuild the motor when it comes time to put on a ProCharger. Any suggestions?

If you plan on going with a procharger I'd say go with the LQ4. They have slightly dished pistons and with the L92s will have a more boost friendly cr.

stay with the lq4 if it is going to be a forced induction motor. it has aprrox 1 point less on the compression. 9.4 on the lq4. in 05 the lq4 recieved the beefier rod. it is the same rod that was used in the ls2. the cylinder heads on both motors are the same and are similiar to the ls6 head.
