Default Can I use a 4" crank with 6.125" rods?

Can I used the same rods and pistons that I would with a stock crank as a stroker 4" crank? Or would the pistons come too high?

you need to replace the pistons,they will come out of the bore.

bingo. Piston pin compression height must match stroke/rod length.

what about the other way around...4" stroker pistons with stock crank? pistons already stick out of the whole...
