Default X1 Vs G5X2 Cam...

I currently have GTP stage 2 heads with the Rev dual valve springs so lift is not a concern....I am currently running the MTI X1 cam and LOVE IT. Has anyone switched from the X1 or similar 230/227 .591/.581 114 to the G5X2 and what gains did you see...is it worth it? or am I wasting my time??

Thanks,

How much are your heads milled? I'd have that same setup now if my GTP's weren't milled .030. Need some deep valve reliefs to have PTV clearance.

I personally have witnessed an increase of 20+HP to the rear tires... I'd say you wouldn't be wasting your time. You can skate by on .015 shaved off the head (probably 75 thou clearance on the intake side) but at .030 you'll definately need valve reliefs cut. Even if you were milled at .015 I'd check the clearance anyway to make sure.
