Stock redline question.

I've been told that the stock LS1 redlines at about 6200 but sometimes when I'm approaching 6000 the motor starts cutting like I'm hitting the limiter. Any idea why it's' doing this?

the tach is a little slow on our cars! so when ur reaching 6200 rpm the tach is showing 6,000

It revs faster than the needle can keep up sometimes. I shift at about 6400 when it's really at 6600. These damn LS1's are just to badass for their own good!
