Re: Cam timing?
well if i understand the principle right retarding the timing marks will make for more top end power and worse idle and bottom end is there any other things to consider?

Re: Cam timing?
I believe most TR224 cams comes with 4 degrees of advance ground into them. That would be an ICL of 108 degrees in your case. To retard it would give you an effective ICL of 110.
Really depends on your stall, gearing, intake and exhaust flow, and heads as to whether you need to retard it. Really can only be determined accurately with 1/4 mile and/or dyno runs. Two degrees would bring your peak torque and hp up about 100 rpm.
If you have a manual with stock gearing I would definitely not retard it. Might even want to consider advancing it a tad.
