bigger valves?
ok i have a set of 853 heads i had ported a few months back is it worth it for me to have bigger valves put in them? i was thinking about going to a 2.02/1.60. i have about 800 bux into the heads with the crane daul springs on them so i really dont want to go out and spend the money on new heads if i can get these closer to them by putting bigger valves in them.
thanx

i'm in the same predicament. the heads i'm using have 2.00 and 1.60 manley valves but i have a set of 2.02 ferrera's i could use and i need a valve job anyway. should i put in the 2.02's when i do the valve job?

In many cases you can gain as much flow by getting a good valve job, good bowl work, and using your stock valves. If you decide to go with the larger valves, give us a call we can give some great prices on Ferrea 6000 series valves.

well my current setup on the car is stock ported 853's with a comp 5 angle valve job and a custom cam motion cam 234/240 .627 .641 112lsa. right now the valves clear the pistons but if i go bigger thats going to cut down on my ptv clearence right?but if i pull these heads back off im going to port match them and do a little more work to them and do the bigger valves.
