Default H/C package

I'm about to add a H/C package to my 00FRC Vette. I'm going with TFS 215cc heads milled to 61 cc, new pushrods, an ASPunderdrive pulley, Breathless CAI, Ported fast 90/90/, 160 thermostat, LS2 timing chain, LS2, high volume oil pump ported/shimmed, Kooks 1 3/4 headers with OR X pipe, new slave and master cylinder, Textralia OZ700 clutch, 36 pph injectors, new LS 7 lifters, DMH cutouts, etc.. I am currently torn between three cams. All work will be done by Vengeance Racing. I am looking at their VRX 4, VRX 5, and Vindicator camshafts. I think the Vindicator is a little too much, while I'm worried the VRX 4 is a little too small. The car will be driven at least three times a week back and forth to work, which is mainly highway driving. Any suggestions on the cam, or anything I may have forgotten, would be greatly welcome

I know this has been said many times before, but get a custom grind. That way you can get a cam ground the way you want it.

These "custom" grinds have their place... but where do you think the VRX5 etc etc came from?? Its not a "shelf" cam... Its something we put time into doing R&D to find a camshaft that works well with the TFS heads we use.

The VRX5 has PROVEN itself to lay down OVER 470rwhp all over the country with TFS/90mm combos... No point in deviating from what works if you ask me

Hope you have better luck than I did. Similar setup spun a bearing yesterday on 2nd dyno pull and in short, bottom end is toasted. I am sure you will have better luck than myself, but may want to consider forged rods, and arp rod bolts. Wish I had have, cause it is DAMNED dissapointing to spend the kinda of money I spent (and you are about to spend) and not be able to enjoy it. Good luck, the guys at vengence do quality work.
