Default windage tray with stock main bolts

how much did u have to shim them i had to install 3 washers on each bolt to get mine up high enough... that sound like its to much?

i shimmed the tray about .225 in out.. that sound normal?

I dont know if that is too much or not, i just put the pan on my 402 a few days ago and i have no issues with the windage tray. It is all tightened down, and nothing hits spinning it over by hand.

You need to be careful because shimming the windage tray will push the oil pick up too close to the bottom of the oil pan. Then you need to bend oil pick up to compensate.

i did bent it back up alittle do lets just hope i am good.. how are yall checking pick up tube clearance? modeling clay?
