Default LQ4 (new guy ?'s)

Hello I am planning on building a 6.0 lq4 its going into a 87 RX7. Most likely have a 4l60 behind for now budget reasons. Any advice on a mild cam for the street along with heads keeping in mind price.
Basic stock lq4 short block, I want to keep the compression low so i can run 87 gas and willing to sacrifice HP car being very lite 2,600 lbs. Cam advice LS1, LS6, Z06 possibley aftermarket too.
Intake Ls1, Ls6 ?
Heads? LS1, LS6, aftermarket cheap.
The ls series is new to me so any advice can be helpful I am more familiar with gen 1 blocks but out with old in with the new. I am not trying to build a 500 horse motor something slightly mild and reliable to drive dailey to work in the summer and I feel this is a cheaper route than used LS1 motors on ebay for 2,500 or more. Thanks guys

Buy this book from Amazon or your local bookstore. Definitely worth the money if you're starting new with Gen III and IV motors.

6.0's with stock 317 heads are designed to run all day on 87 octane fuel without hurting them. Before you blindly jump in and screw up a good engine do a lot of reading first. Killing compression for fuel economy is old crap that no longer applies to todays modern fuel injected engines.

stock lq4 compression is 9.4 - it takes a -6.5cc factory piston and 72cc head to achieve this. L92s are ~72cc also.

mill the head and bump the compression up, you'll still have plenty of ptv.
