Default Callies Compstar rods....

I am trying to find out the torque values for the Callies Compstar rods that use ARP rod bolts. Had the info, but can't find it now. And....it's Sunday, so I doubt any shop is open to call and find out. Anyone know? It seems that I remember a figure of 70ft. lbs., but then that seems like a LOT for rods, and I don't want to guess and then be shopping for new rod bolts, or even new rods!! Please advise. Thanks, guys.

Hmmmm....! I called ARP and Callies. The guy at ARP suggested that though he could give me a "generic" value, it would be best to go with the rod manufacturer's (Callies) specs.. So when I called Callies, they said 70 ft. lbs.!!! I guess that if you add up the two responses I got (75 and 62) you get 137ft. lbs., which average out to be 68.5 ft. lbs.!! That's close enough to 70 for me!!! Thanks, guys.

The torque value is 75 ft lbs with the supplied extreme pressure lube #3, or 70 ft lbs with ARP moly lube. Recommended bolt stretch is .0047"-.0052".

I'll make sure to add this info to the website. I thought it was already on there, but it's not...... my appologies for the oversite.

This is a fine example of customer service. And one reason, besides their outstanding products, that I wouldn't think twice about buying their stuff again.
