Help....dbl roller/ oil pump

Default Help....dbl roller/ oil pump

in the middle of a 408 install.... local engine builder puts the timing chain and cam in(dbl roller chain) so he can Degree the cam in.... i go to put the new melling oil pump and it hits the chain....damn it.... what now.....

any help......


time is not on my side.....

with the chain, there should have been oil pump spacers to shim it out. here's a pic of what the spacers are supposed to look like with longer bolts

see i figured thats what i would have to do....i don't remember seeing any spacers though......will shiming the pump have any affect on the pickup alingment....
