Default Who is getting away with less than .080" PtoV intake clearance?

Cam is 228/232 114LSA 112ICL. Stock gaskets with a few thou off the heads. I put in Caddy lifters, checker springs, and bolted down the head with couple of bolts and the used gaskets. About 5* ATDC it gets around .073". Would any of you feel safe running that clearance?

So nobody checks the clearance? I see lots of replies to post where people ask if a certain cam will have a clearance issue, and people reply with stuff like "Ah that should be fine." But nobody that replies ever specifies what clearance they had with their cams

Tons of people here run less than that, not optimum but .073 would be ok I guess.

.073 is not bad on the intake valve, but a little tight on the ex.

The exhaust has miles of room it is just the intake that is close. I dont want to back-up the cam if I dont have to. If you guys think .073" will fly, I will run it!

I am running some really close tolerances. I can call my installer and get the exact specs. Chuch @ HPE originally put in my Mega Death and said there were no clearance issues. Turns out it is pretty close and with my Patriot heads I am a little better off. I have yet to have a problem and I run the car really hard. But I can afford to fix it if it blows.
