Default car losing idle

some times when i start my car it will barely hold an idle, reaching all the way down into the 400's in rpms. what could cause this? it isn't all the time, just everyone in a while when i first start it.

sounds like a fuel problem, have you checked the pressure??? and when you start it do you just crank the key or turn it to on and then fire???
