There are way too many variable.

What are your goals for the car??
How big are you looking to go??
What kinda driving duty does the car see??

Also am I reading right in that your heads have already came off & been worked over?? You really should have done a cam back then so you could upgrade lifters to the LS7's at least & cam install is soooo much easier with the heads off & lifters out.

im lookin at street warrior but still reliable cause i will be driving it also but not as a DD and as far as any more mods this will be about it for quite some time except for maybe street drags and a 9 inch rear end

its not really about reliability, its really all about driveability. assuming you get the right pushrods, springs, timing chain, degree the cam...and set ur rev limiter accordingly, every cam should have the same reliability. if u can tolerate, or like a choppy idle and a pretty loud car, go with the biggest cam u can get. if u want a nicer idle youd be limited to a pretty small cam because even the 224s can lope pretty good. ive had a 228, a 237, and now a 244 and honestly they all sound and drive the same so its better to just get the big one at the beginning or youll be left wanting more power.

you would need to replace your valvetrain with any aftermarket cam. even an ls6 cam requires a little better springs. which is why since u have to upgrade anyway, any cam will have the same reliability.

heres whats ive learned from many camswaps and reading lots of posts:
definitely change valvesprings, pushrods, and adjustable timing chain.
new oil pump is nice but u dont have to have one unless urs is going bad. Rockers dont really have to be changed, especially if ur on a budget. And until the ls7 lifters came out there havent really been too many reasons to change out the stock lifters, but again thats not a necessity.
