Default German Castrol

i recently changed the oil on my ls1 after buying the car a couple of months ago. i decided to go with GC after reading up on the forum. Now if i drive it right away after a cold start i hear a faint ticking. No ticking if i let the car warm-up, which i do about 75% of the time. But if I'm late for school i have to go( never take the car above 2 grand until its at operating temp). i know this stuff has been proven to be the best overall protector at start up but is it bad to drive right away on it. i didn't have this problem with whatever the previous owner put in it, i think just conventional. just wanted to see if this was normal since its my first time with this oil.

thanks

Default

Is it a ticking sound, or just the normal piston slap?
