measure pushing water
my motor is a stock ls1 with stock head bolts i think stock graphite gasktets and 853 heads...i can idle forever and only reach 180 mark on the dash...burnout and it will climb some maybe 200 and the end of the run its about 220...weather it be motor or on nitours...i think it pushes water bad but i have a stock overflow and dont know if its simply the car getting hot during a run or if the gaskets are actually leaking...it typically will cool back down within 3-4 minutes sitting in the pits? kinda quick
how do you know for sure?

check ur oil and make sure there isnt any AF in the oil. also, usually when a car is pushing water you get AF coming out of your radiator overflow bottle. you may also want to do to a compression check. we have fought this many times on our nitrous cars and it sucks when it happens. If you determine it is pushing water, replace the head bolts with a stud kit. this usually solves the problem for good if it is not a huge shot.
