Cooling System Vacuum Leak
Just got my engine rebuilt and installed in the car (98 T/A) and the mechanic that installed the engine started to fill the rad with antifreeze and noticed there was a leak coming from one of the hoses. Fixed that, then pressurized the cooling system and he heard a hissing coming from under the intake manifold. He is not 100% familiar with LS1 engines.........nor am I. Are there 2 tubes that go into the intake to cool the intake?
Maybe it is possible that there is a hole in one of the tubes. Or a faulty gasket under the intake. The sound of air is from under the intake........???????
Any known cases or anyone familiar with this? Any pics?
Help!!!!
I managed to reach the guy that rebuilt my engine a little while ago, he is going to talk to my mechanic in the morning and I guess the rebuild mechanic can give him a better idea of what might be going on...........HOpe so anyway!!!!
