Default ls2 heads?

Came across a set of ls2 heads.casting #799.does anyone have info on cc of chamber and ports.what effect on compression will these have on stock ls1 .010 overbore,am running gm ls6 cam and intake.

I belive the LS2 heads are the same as LS6 heads. I could be wrong though

LS6 has better valves. But yeah, other than that they are the same.

Take a look at the GM Performance parts catalog. It will give you the info. Also if you are considering them make sure you don't pay too much. A new set is $640 from Scoggins.

you can get them cheaper than that if you call patriot and ask for a set of NEW 243 heads. they will have solid valves and yellow springs

thanks for the advice.info was in gm perf. parts catalog as yall mentioned.

Yeah, or for an additional cost add their dual valve springs.

I have a set of these, they were measured to have a chamber size of 61cc. the 799s were supposed to be used on LS2 motors and the later 5.3l truck engines (or so has been posted on this forum)
