help me build it right!
im new to this and im going to do cam. on the car. i dont want some crazy huge cam that is gonna suck for regular driving and only be fun when i got the pedal to the wood.
there has to be a good big cam taht will perform down low and not require a monsterous cam.
also what springs. push rods. timing. chain and other things are good investment while its apart.
I wanna run a 150 shot as well so the cam needs to be ok for this as well. id like to stay under 4k on a stall.
ive looked at the following cams all seem to net around 400whp with an ls6 intake and long tubes
hpe s cam

I've got a Torquer 2 (232/234) and happy with it although the tune still needs a little work. Starts pulling hard at 3K and doesn't level off until after 6K. From what you posted about low end power and driveability I don't think you want anything larger than this, maybe a 228 or as small as a 224.

ok well the cams you posted up there are the biggest cams you can fit in a stock f-body " without having to fly cut" . maybe a tr230-224 would suit your needs.
to me anything over 232 is to much for a dd as far as gas goes
