Default Anyone Running Comp R Lifters On 346 Forged?

curious if anyone is running comp R lifters of a 346. Texas speed told me they were the hardest lifter to setup so i should go with the Ls7's but the short blobk i had had them installed? I have very loud valve train noise and i didn't when i first had the motor put in. 5-30 oil to thin at 160'? would 10-30 be better for the summer?

I have the Rs in my boosted 4xx ci I run 0w40 and the motor is quite. If is a sewing machine noise then you should be good if you have a rpm depended tap you might want to check the valve train out. A thicker oil will make it quite but will mask a problem if you have one.

They have a very tight tolerance on pre-load and require adjustable rockers, I believe the pre-load is 0.002" - 0.004". How do you have them set?
