Oil pressue drop off.. Oil pump failure question?

Oil pressue drop off.. Oil pump failure question? When these stupid ls1 oil pumps fail do they just go from fine pressure to nothing? Did my burnout and had great oil pressure, shut down after the pass and had 0psi. I am just trying to get an idea in what manner these pumps fail.

Some, well most actually do fail with little to no indication that they are going to fail. Mine on the other hand began to get lower and lower and it would bounce all over the place at idle. If you're at 0 it's probably gone. I hope you shut it off quickly.

I had no indicators what so ever. I had been driving it around all day with no issues. As I was turning the car around after the pass I noticed the motor starting to make a bit of noise and looked down to see it at 0 and killed it as quick as possible.

I had a similar issue, oil pres showed nothing above 45 even at 3k. So I swapped in my ls6 intake and at the same time I put in a new sensor. I had just done an engine flush and knew I had good press. After the install the press is 65 cold idle and 45 hot idle, this is with 186k on the clock!
