243's without tune!
I was thinking of putting these 243's on stock with .040 cometics, but i wasnt sure if i would need to have it retuned to what. my AFR according to the gauge is 12.6-12.8 WOT. I was going to get the valves lapped in and heads milled (.006) to achieve 11.1:1 with the .040 gaskets. I know its always better to have it tuned but its also better to be a bit leaner, and im a little rich right now. Im just looking at options as of now! put on now or wait and have ported. Money is tight with getting home setup and paying inspection fees.

You want to be a little rich, not a little lean. Too lean is bad. Too rich is also bad. Yeah you make good power when lean, but it sucks when your pistons have holes in them. You could probably go without a tune, but wouldn't have the best power. Keep an eye on AFR.

i got good numbers on my 243s with cometics . the dyno link is in my sig one is with a ported stock maf . the rich is running a totally stock maf with the screen and made a bit more power .
it has been tuned since then . the car is a lot better but am going to wait on going back for a few more pulls . still got get bigger injections and put in my spec 3 with the alluminumw flywheel .
