Blackstone oil report
I just got back another report on my oil and this is for using Castrol Syntec German which is a switch from Royal Purple. this report is now showing the iron content going from 13 ppm (Royal Purple) to 61 ppm with the Castrol???
Blackstone says that this level is much higher than what they would like to see and it points to a possible excess wear from a steel part i.e cylinders. They are not sure if it is a mechanical problem or just the way the engine wears. Ran this oil to 4200 miles and with only 49,000 miles on this LS!. The viscosity was slightly higher and that is understandable with the German Castrol 0W30. everything else is normal, just kinda wondering if it maybe the Castrol? Anybody else ever have this happen?

I'm going to run Royal Purple again and see how comes out on the report. Should be interesting! I'm too overly concerned at this time.
