Default i need your help.!?

The motor will be coming out of my (2000 pontiac trans am)car soon and i cant decide what would be the best idea for my car. i will be starting school in january and i want a reliable daily driver, i dont really care about the horse power i mean i am gonna buy some good heads and a fast 92. Ocassionally i will take it to the track and do a little street racing i have a nx kit i will be spraying no more than a 175 shot. should i build a 370,408 or just forge the motor i have i am wanting to go the cheapest route i no the heads and intake arent gonna be cheap, but i just want a reliable car. If i did forge it what kind of shot would it hold? Thanks for your time reading this.

I would forge the 346 get a nice h/c pacage and call it a day. With forged rods and pistons you should be able to throw a 250 wet shot at it no problems.

I am happy with my heads from mti but there not a sponcer here any more. Check out texas speed http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/. They seem to have the best bang for the buck H/C combo's these days. I bought my forged short block from them and many other things. Very good company and very good service.
