Default reuse main bolts?

is it acceptable to reuse factory main bolts? ive always heard u should never reuse torque to yield fasteners because of the stretch. just goin in a stock 6.0 with a ls6 camshaft.

Another huge topic that's been debated over the forums. Many people DO reuse them but it is NOT recommended. TTY bolts should never be reused in any application. Get your block line honed and go with ARP studs and wash your hands with ever having to deal with it again.

I have been told that there is no harm in reusing TTY bolts, as long as you do it right.... proper torque/pattern/lube... and the reason they say that TTY bolts should always be replaced is because they MIGHT have been taken out before you got the vehicle, and not been put back in correct.
Once again... I have been told... I'm still not sure that I would recommend you do it.

If you don't want to line hone and go with studs then just get a new set of bolts. They are much cheaper than the studs and good piece of mind down the road. Just double check your clearances and get a plastiguage to verify everything is kosher.
