Default Stock pushrod lengths and 1.8 yella terras on afr 225s

Have an iron 408 and got some afr 225 heads for it. Also got some 1.8 yella terra non adjustable rockers and gt7 lingenfelter cam. Are stock length pushrods ok or do I need to use different length. Don't have a pushrod checker and unsure if the 1.8 change anything ??

With that cam the 1.8's will put alot of strain on the lifters & lobes.....and you really need to check PTV clearance. Only way to know the push--rod length is with a checker & closely looking at the wipe pattern.

Good Luck!

Hmm asked lingenfelter tech directly if the 1.8 were ok on that gt7 and he assured me they would be fine. Tha cam has pretty low lift so figured there should be lots of room for PTV . Also have wiseco turbo pistons in there so wouldn't they also give more PTV than normal non turbo types?

Can't see why a bit more lift would matter much on roller lifters . Can see it mattering on old flat tappet crap. Running new ls7 lifters as well. And never seen a roller cam wiped out on the lobes.

PTV clearance is affected by phasing/duration more than max lift. I would get a pushrod checker and be 100%sure.

Check wipe first, then measure for pushrods. I found the wipe was off quite a bit with my AFR's and they needed shimming. Shimming results in a different pushrod length.
