Default Cam question

I have been searching for awhile and can't find the info I am looking for. Hopefully I didn't miss it but here is what I am looking for info on:

I have been looking at getting a cheater cam or and ls6 cam. My mods are 3500 stall, cutout, lid, smooth bellows and a 100 shot. I want the motor to look stock and sound close to stock that is why the cheater cam. I would like to keep on the stock exhaust manifolds for now. Has anyone ever done this with nitrous on their car as well. I have seen people running cheater cams with stock manifolds but really haven't come across any that are running nitrous as well. Maybe I missed them. Also, would a hot cam be to much of a cam with my setup? I can get one for a really good price but I don't know how well it would perform with the stock exhaust manifolds plus the lope would be more noticeable but maybe not as much with the stock exhaust.

Howabout go to Patrick G and get a custom cam spec'd out and tell him exactly this that you say above.

I bet you will make more power and have what you want with him.

look at my STS build in my signature, the last few pages. I did my cam swap and my car just barely barely sounds like it has a cam. sleeper

There's several supposed cheater cams online that are easy to hear once installed in the car. I've done a couple small camshafts that idled really close to stock with typical power gains right at about 30rwhp. If we can help you spec a custom camshaft for this application give us a call, I'd be glad to help anyway I can!

I agree with you going with a custom cam from Patrick G, I was in a similar situation as you last year and I never looked back after getting a cam custom spec'd for my mods..
