Default Cam Install question

I was just curious as to how long it would take (round about) for 1 man who has done 3 - 4 Cam / valve spring swaps in the past to do the swap. Thanks, just trying to get a feel for the time it takes.

Cam/Valve springs/rods and retainers.

It depends alot on the tool he has for the valve springs, and wether he wants to take the time to use the magnets and whatnot.

Roughly 6-8 hours if he's taking his time and being careful. Ive done a cam swap in 3.5 hours myself, and Ive done a cam with springs in 5.5 myself. I did have a great spring tool though, and I used the compressed air to hold the valves up and I played lucky and let the lifters hang.

WOW that's fast, I think it would take me at least 8 hours even after having done it before and having all the tools and supplies at hand. But then, I'm kinda slow . . . :-(

On an F-body for cam and spring I'd say 4-12 hours for one person, with 2 people maybe 3-8 hours.

Visceral and I double teamed a cam/spring swap a while back and it took 3 hours from drive in to drive out.
