getting ready to do a ls3 h/c/i with a turbo in my c5 z06. i was just wanting to know how far i could push it and be safe, if i could make over 700 whp i would be fine with it or should i change the pistons and rods or what, and i am only working with 10 k, so what can i do i can get a ls3 used for 2500, and i have a shop the will do the turbo kit for me for 4500 so i have 3000 to play with but need fuel stuff to

Here's a good link to get an idea, no your power goals would not be a good idea for a sbe Ls3.

Minus a gooood shop to assemble and prep the block along with balancing it all.

Or you can just get pistons n rods. Your crank can take all of that abuse. That's the least of your worries.

800hp at 7k but you need to address the stock oil system. Not my opinion but from a shop's in Mich.

I have yet to see a spun rod bearing or failure on a 2001 up rod bolt? Am I missing something here? This interwebs rod bolt stuff is getting out of control. If he was asking about spinning his 98' LS1 that high I would agree though.

With that being said the biggest issue at or above 7000rpm is the factory oiling system.

At around 700hp the heads start lifting so you want to do something with big studs.
