how strong is the ls3 bottom end
getting ready to do a ls3 h/c/i with a turbo in my c5 z06. i was just wanting to know how far i could push it and be safe, if i could make over 700 whp i would be fine with it or should i change the pistons and rods or what, and i am only working with 10 k, so what can i do i can get a ls3 used for 2500, and i have a shop the will do the turbo kit for me for 4500 so i have 3000 to play with but need fuel stuff to

800hp at 7k but you need to address the stock oil system. Not my opinion but from a shop's in Mich.

I have yet to see a spun rod bearing or failure on a 2001 up rod bolt? Am I missing something here? This interwebs rod bolt stuff is getting out of control. If he was asking about spinning his 98' LS1 that high I would agree though.
With that being said the biggest issue at or above 7000rpm is the factory oiling system.
