Default LSx454 - how can I use standard LS1 accessories

Hello, I am fitting a GM crate LSx454. All it has come with is a harmonic balancer. I have also ordered a Mezierre water pump, as well as a billet Aeroflow alternator mount. When I have gone to fit the alternator mount it seems the harmonic balancer is 22mm (7/8") out of line.

Not sure what to do here, can I buy an after-market harmonic balancer that will bring it in line, or do I have to get a different set of mounts?

Now I am worried the mezierre pump wont fit, I am guessing it will line up with the alternator bracket which I assume is an LS1 style?

All help and advice greatly appreciated

Looks like you're trying to use a vette balancer with f-body accessories.

Sorry guys, but I am in Australia, so the vette and F body differences I am unsure of.

Can I fit an f-body harmonic balancer to fix the problem??

Here are the differences and the f-body damper will fix it.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your reply. Looks like I am off to buy a new damper, I guess I may as well fit an ARP bolt while I am at it. I have also been thinking about fitting a split timing case (Edelbrock) to make cam swaps easier in future, may as well do it all at the same time I guess.

Glad to help... Use search about the split front timing cover because many have problems with clearance, etc.
