Default LQ9 with GM performance heads

Would this be a good combo?
I'm thinking of getting a good LQ9 short block and using the Chevy Performance heads #12629063K with a Victor Jr. intake and good drag cam.
I'm wanting to get close to 550hp.
These heads have good flow numbers and will have no issues with this power.
What do you think?? It's going in my 74 AMX.

Those appear to be stock LS3 heads. You'll have to change the valve springs as the ones that come with it won't be enough for a decent cam. I use Brian Tooley Racing .660" lift springs on mine.

I have LQ9 with LS3 heads cut .030" with custom cam and vic jr. My car makes 440 RWHP thru a 5600 stall. probably around 520ish at the flywheel.

Good luck
