I am going to have to redo my "truck" accessory drive package in order for this intake manifold system to fit. I think I will go with the Holley style. This of course depends that the thing pans out like it should.

I'm thinking someone misunderstood. Perhaps they meant that indeed it would fit an ls1 cathedral port but didnt put it together that the fbody cowl is so low. Finally it makes sense to me though because I was looking at it and my fast 102 barely clear my cowl so I had serious doubts about this clearing lol

Yeah that was my biggest concern with the C5 granted we ALREADY have to use lower motor mounts to fit the 102. I specifically asked "FBody". That sucks. I know you guys would have scooped them up seeing the gains to be had. Maybe they'll tweak it a bit of there's enough interest garnered. I would. It's money in the bank.

See, I read this and it got me second guessing my choice of the MSD intake, but there's no way it's going to fit in an F-body....well, anything will fit, just how much are you willing to do to get it to fit.

I don't know who's posting from the Vararam account, but I was told it should fit. Hell, it fits a C5 and C6, and on C5's you've gotta lower the motor mounts just to fit a Fast 102.

I'll call back Monday and try to get some clarification. I PM'd twice and haven't received a response yet.

I noticed that 102mm throttle body was used in both test. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I'm not a fan of the "T" either. Think exhaust and how a smooth transition helps flow, hence a "Y" pipe rather than a "T". Who knows, maybe the inside is a "Y" to direct airflow better to each bank of cylinders.

Bingo.

From speaking with Patrick about it, it seems at WOT they're actually seeing 102-103 kPa on tests, which speaks volumes for cylinder pressures and getting the wave dialed in right, if that makes sense.

Brien, if you haven't done so yet, pick up the phone and talk with Patrick about it. It's REALLY neat all the attention to detail that went into this thing. A lot of little tricks and whatnot.

When I grab one of these, even though mine will be square port, I'm gonna have a buddy with an FBody come over and yank his intake off and see just how much if any height restriction there is.

I don't want to call, because then it's just going to **** me off that it won't fit on an f-body without cutting the cowl and losing wipers and dropping the kmember....

That's like meeting a hot chick, and she tells you all the things she wants to do to you, then finding out she was once a dude.

In some of the pictures I saw it was actually shaped somewhat like a "Y". See attached picture. I also think that would be the better design. The dyno testing they are doing will tell the tale.

On the whole I like this design a lot better than the MSD Atomic Air Force. This one has a nice smooth path for the air to flow to the runner bellmouths which in turn are pretty straight into the head ports.

With the MSD it appears to look like a bread box with the air inside going every which way depending on which cylinder is drawing the air and on which bank. Again, the dyno will tell the tale.

Talked with Patrick 2 weeks ago and indeed the "T" was only temporary and was replaced with a "Y". With this design largest gains will be realized with higher flowing LS3-LS7 rectangular ports limited by 'oem-like' intake manifold architecture. For those of us with ported or aftermarket cathedral port heads, something may become available later....

I'm going to say no. Look at how high above the valve cover it is, and how far back it is. Now look at your engine bay and look at how much room there is above the top of the valve cover in the back.

I will say though, you could probably get it to fit with some trimming of the cowl, and dropping the k-member down.
