idle comparision for cams?
Ok i've got an 00LS1 in my Datsun.
I've currently got and LS6 intake and a 224/224 .567" on 114+4 LSA, I'm running 1 3/4 headers to a single 3" exhuast.
I am going to be installing a FAST 90/90 and some TSP 5.3L 2.5 heads over the winter. I am now thinking that I might upgrade the cam while the intake/heads are off. I was thinking about going with the torquer V2 (232/234 .595/.598) on 114 LSA.
How much rougher of an idle with the larger cam be than the 224 that I have now?
I need the car to be drivable as my wife drives the car at least once a week.
We are also looking for 11's on DR's (have gone 12.66 on current)

There is going to be a definate difference in idle sound when changing cam size that much. On a 114 LSA the torquer v.2 should not be extremely rough but you will definately hear it in the car. Although with a good tune that cam should have no problems being driven around even if the wife has got to take her out. It should never have any surging or stalling issues, especially in a car that light.
