LS7 block, no provision for oil dipstick.
I just started to put the accessories on my new motor and noticed there is no provision for the oil dipstick. I am having these thoughts about having to take it all apart to bring it to the builder so the provision can be drillrd cleaned, etc. Not to happy right now. Am I missing something?
Thanks

LS7 blocks only have the boss for the oil level indicator tube, it is obviously undrilled due to the dry sump setup the Z06's come equipped with. I believe you may only need to pull off the oil pan to have it drilled, make sure to take your dipstick tube to your machine shop so that it can be machined to the proper size.

I just did this myself. Not difficult. I drilled it freehand. Took off oil pan after to get out shavings.
I put the boss on level by rotating on the engine stand and then just drilled a straight hole.
