Trail Blazer and $2500

What do you have for exhaust? Headers too? Pretty much anything you do that adds 50-60 more hp. you better plan on a new tranny soon. You can go with a street/strip TCM. I did this and a few thousand miles later it started slipping about 5,300. I wasn't hard on it either. There are deff. things you can do to prolong the life of the trans. such as another tranny cooler, and corvette servos.

I would leave the heads alone unless you are planning a cam. In that case you would need a stall and start looking at a stronger tranny for sure. Do you have headers or no, that is the way I would go along with a tune. That and get a tranny cooler also like what was said above. You can always save a bit more and get a maggie But then a stall and tranny are needed. These trucks need some better transmissions when you go after more power. At least the rear can take some abuse unlike f bodies lol. Actually I would use the money to put a RPM Stage 5 4L70 in it along with possibly a decent stall. Then atleast that would be out of the way...

The exhaust did nothing for your power. I suggest tuning it and efans. Lot cheaper than 2500 and itll give you a nice feelin. But be aware, you better save up for a trans, cause its gonna go...
If you want more, stall it... I'd only cam it if you don't give a damn about MPG.
