Im building a lower budget 6.0 LQ4 for my Dads truck and looking to upgrade from the big dished pistons, to a flat top for the better quench characteristics. I just cant quite justify the cost of a forged piston for an NA 6.0L truck engine. I've got a set of 243's I did some light port work to that Im putting on and with a flat top this should give me reasonable compression. But I cant seem to find any one that sells a low cost flat top piston. Looking for a stock LQ9 or LS2 pistons in a .020 or .030 (I still need to measure the bores). I've spent a fair amount of searching but I cant justify the cash outlay for a set of forged pistons a truck engine that wont see past 6k rpm or boost/spray and will be under 500 hp.
