Performance With Big Inch 416-441 Engines
What kind of numbers are you running with your big inch engines in the 1/4 mile. What cams are you running, do you have driveabilty problems on the street. Are there any kind of problems with these engines such as excessive oil burning ect?

We have several people both male and female on this site running mid nines on pump gas and with hydraulic rollers. Of course with race gas and a solid roller you can run mid 8s if you have a car that can do it. Bigger engines are faster and make more power at lower rpm so they are also usually more reliable at the same power level.
Cams made to go really fast in the 1/4 mile are less drivable of course than smaller cams aimed specifically at nice street driving so not a big surprise there.
Oil burning of course is also relative as many OEM 346s even burn oil brand new but done right you should not see crazy oil burning on any engine. There is a limit on stroke though for sure depending on the block being used of course.
