Dipstick relocation?

Dipstick relocation? I am installing a LS2 into my wifes 70 Blazer. In order for the conversion I had to install a F body LS1 oil pan. On the GTO oil pan the dipstick was inserted into the pan, on the LS1 the dipstick is inserted through the block.
My question is, is there a plug in the block that needs to be knocked out or do I need to drill it out. I see where it is suppose to go by the starter but the passage is blocked.
