Quick 402 build help and questions
First thanks for your help in advance and I apologize if some questions were answered before. I searched and read this forum for quite awhile before I asked.
My LS2 took a crap and I broke the ringland on #7. Block appears ok so plans are to go 5 over and stroke. Initial plans have Callies forged bottom their upgraded (between H and I) rods and bolts, Diamond pistons for app. 11 compression. Bearings and gaskets have not been ordered yet.
On the top side I have trick flow 220's, a 236-238 113 cam and ported 92 FAST intake.
The block will be blueprinted by machine so if any other machining is recommended please tell me.
The big questions are: Will I need to change my oil p/u assembly and with what(melling pump). My shop is a SBC shop (race motors over many states with all of the equipment) what won't they know about LS motors.
Am I nuts?
Thanks Again!

Thanks Merv. I should add that these guys have done other motors for me and are friends. I would prefer if I can use them but I have read some horror stories of small block people doing LS motors, the guys will stand behind their work I just dont want to rebuild again.
