Default LS2 valley cover bung(front Bank 2 side)

There is a bung on the front of the LS2 valley cover(Bank 2 side). Can this be used for crankcase ventilation or does it have some other purpose. It has a rubber cap on it so it's not currently being used.

OK. So is there a vent on the back of the valley cover somewhere that can't be seen or does the pressure vent back to the intake. It doesn't do any good just to recirculate the crankcase pressure back to the crankcase chasing its' own tail. Does the oil mist somehow drain back to the crankcase and vent the crankcase pressure out to the atmosphere if this bung is used or does it somehow find its' way back to the intake by a circuitous route?

Its just like the ls6 PVC you can run it to a catch can ,then into the T-Body. It looks like it will control oil better then any previous set ups.
