LS3 Double roller timing set on an Ls2 w/ 24x wheel
I just got my long block 402 back from the machine shop. The covers are already on.
All I know was a ls3 double roller timing set was used in the build. I want to make sure that this will give my cam sensor the correct signal still.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks
Here is a picture of the cam gear that the machine shop installed. I just want to make sure that this is the incorrect one for the 24x reluctor wheel

LS3 is a 4x cam signal which matches only the 58x crankshaft (in the proper vehicle). F-bodys and C5's need the 2x/24x combo, which is the LS2 chain.
I attached a pic of a LS3 chain, the LS3 and most 2006+ vehicles uses 4 notches for cam signal, the early 2005 LS2 and 2004 and prior LS1 requires only 2, the 2x signal... which would be 1 long raised bar, and 1 recessed bar on the cam gear (or rear of cam in LS1 block) to provide the 2x camshaft signal. The LS2 style is the one you probably need looking at your screen name and sig.

Looks like your right, the shop agreed to take the motor back and swap the gear/.
