Weight reduction on a 05 GTO
#2
get rid of:
skid plate
tow brace under the rear plastic cover
remove trunk material
remove bracket protecting gas tank
remove back seats
remove front seat, if you're willing
remove spoiler- looks better without it anyways
wheels would help a lot
take off whatever you are willing to live without-
in your region- keeping A/C is a good idea

Drop the tow brace on the rear of the car.
Take out the rear seats.
Remove skid guard at the drag strip (or buy a lightweight one, or create your own you can use all the time)
Remove the brace between the trunk and the fuel tank (I would do this just for track use)
Not much upfront you can remove, which is where you want too remove the most. Not without buying other parts.
Carpet in the trunk if you want too.
Spoiler, get rid of it, they look like poo
Things that cost more money:
You can also buy a carbon fiber hood from certain vendors
You can do a battery relocation to the trunk to even weight out
Racing seats
Get some Weld Lights, less rotating mass the better
Aftermarket exhaust is generally lighter
Things I would never do:
Remove all the interior panels
Remove the radio
Shave body panels
Remove the front passenger seat
