Modifying 2007 LQ9 block??

Modifying 2007 LQ9 block?? hey guys, i just picked up an LQ9 block (iron version of Ls2) and im having it honed and checked my machine shop before i start my turbo build.
im wondering if there is anything i can do on the block such as grinding down rough casting material to improve oil flow, windage etc. I have no idea if there is anything at all, but i have heard of guys messing with an oil passage in the rear cover area.
just looking for anything to improve on.... im not afraid to cut/weld/grind on the thing
block is from a 2007 silverado SS
