Default ls2 trailblazer 06 problem need help

How can you find out if a lifter is bad took valve cover off every thing looks fine. Sounds like it has a lifter tap. Changed the oil put mobil 1 in like always when the moter warms up in makes a noise on passenger side like a lifter tap only does it when motor is warm had a fram filter on changed it problem still there. I hope some one can give me a little help thanks.
