Question Rod question

Are there any difference in the old school sbc rods and the ls1 or lt1 rods? I found some Lunati 6.125 rods, but they are for a sbc. Can you use non-ls1 rods on a ls1 crank?

I did a google search for this, but got everything but...

The cylinder bank offset is different between the Gen I/II engines and the Gen III/IV engines, and I think the rods are different as well for this reason. I forget exactly which is which, but the small end isn't inline with the big end.

Actually, Erik explains it here: Click me
