LS1 FPR Problem?
Has any one had experience with the fuel pressure regulator on the stock LS1 rails going bad? Is it even possible for it to go bad? I'm assuming it has a diaphragm like a regular vacuum regulated one but I really don't know how the stock LS1 regulator works....is it possible for it to be replaced or do I have to replace the complete rail setup? Any info on this would be terrific....

That thing on the rail is not a regulator, it is a damper to reduce pulses in the fuel rail when the injectors cycle. The LS3 rails don"t even have them any more. Are you having fuel pressure issues or is it leaking. The fuel pres. on the LS1 is regulated in the fuel pump. Right off the pump, in the sending unit assm, is the regulator. That way no return line is needed from the fuel rail all the way back to the tank. Is this a vette your talking about? I'm not sure but early vettes might have a return line going to the rail with an outside regulator.
