LS3/L92 head coolant crossover port question

LS3/L92 head coolant crossover port question I'm swapping over a set of LS3-L92 heads on my LS2 and I noticed the coolant crossover ports are different on the two sets of heads. The LS3s have inserts in one of the ports on each head. The LS2s have no such insert on the ports- as such the LS2 crossover caps do not work on the LS3 heads. Are these integrated caps? I'm not sure what these are. See pics for more info.
