Default 1969 Chevelle LS2 Conversion

Hi everyone, im new on the site. it kept popping up in my online searches so i figured i better join!

I have a 1969 Chevelle Malibu i started 10 years ago at age 12. i havent done much to it in the last 2 year. I have a rolling chassis currently with a 12 bold posi i believe is still original.

maybe it would be easier to direct me to a few detailed threads but i just wanna know:
-how to go about it?
-where to find the ls2/t56 manual trans and what to keep in mind when buying it?
-what costs ill be getting myself into?
-what is needed or needs to be modified when converting?

i also would like to know where to find a driveline?
-for my rear end, should i rebuild or just swap gears etc? if so where is a good place to look for them. i plan to run bigger tires. the engine will hopefully be mostly original with cam and other minor things.

Im looking for some power with out doing much extra to a good running LS2. that in mind maybe someone can just layout what they have done or would do...cam specs, rear end gears, trans modifications, and other engine mods.

THANKS AHEAD OF TIME!
