Default Neel a little help

I'm sure this has been asked way too many times but I've looked and looked but for some reason I'm having a problem locating a web site that will tell me information about my specific Gen IV 6.0 motor. I believe it's a crate motor. At least that's what I was told.

Right now all I know is the following:
Gen IV 6.0 iron block with casting number of 12576181
Aluminum heads with casting number of 823

My best guess is that the motor is an LY6 but I don't know how to confirm this.

I'm wanting to know specifics like piston's, compression, head combustion chamber (68cc?? 71cc?), intake runner volume? Type and size of valve and what ever else might be useful.

I've located several sites that listed some of the old school SBC's but I'm having lots of trouble locating a web site that offers info on Gen III/IV ls/vortec blocks and heads.

What sites are you guys using for this type of thing?

The block casting number I located was on the passengers side back wall. The same wall that is closest to the firewall where the block bolts up to the tranny housing. Are there any other numbers on the block that offer information that I should be looking for?

Thanks,

Roach

That's great of you to post all that information but it's like I said already......I don't know which version of the 6.0 Gen IV motor I have... I suspect it's an LY6 but that is only an educated guess based on several things I know about this particular motor. As you can see by the information listed above the motor came in many different vehicles which all cite varying amounts of power and torque values...So again does any body know a web sight that lists the various applications based on casting numbers or any other means of identifying which specific application that this Gen IV 6.0 iron block? Sorry if I'm confusing things. I'm not as familiar with these motors as I am with a few others.
